Favorite Music Education Podcasts

There are so many great blogs out there, but I’m going to share a list of my favorite music education blogs. You can listen to episode 247 of The Elementary Music Teacher podcast where I talk about why I love these podcasts as well. Oh yeah, and on the episode, you’ll hear me share a few of my favorite business related podcasts too!

The Elementary Music Teacher Podcast with me (Jessica Peresta)

My podcast is, you guessed it, aimed towards elementary music teachers. Each week, you’ll either hear a solo or guest episode around a variety of topics and ideas.

Make Moments Matter podcast with David Row

David ‘s podcast features episodes that are replays from his Facebook and Instagram lives. He presents ideas each week around different grade levels.

Anacrusic Podcast with Anne Mileski

Anne’s podcast has been one of my favorites for years now. She presents a lot of topic ideas, but some are my favorites are around Kindergarten music.

Elemental Conversations with Victoria Boler

One of the best parts of Victoria’s podcast is how she answers questions submitted by music teachers just like you. She breaks down each conversation in an easy to understand way.

Teaching Music Tomorrow with Victoria Boler and Anne Mileski

Victoria and Anne join forces on this favorite music education podcast to talk about actionable and easy to implement lesson plan ideas. Each of them brings a unique perspective and ideas to the table.

That Music Podcast with Bryson Tarbet

Bryson’s podcast is full of great conversations about all things elementary and general music. Some of my favorite episodes are around working with students who are neurodivergent.

Music for Kiddos podcast with Stephanie Leavell

Stephanie is an amazing music therapist and songwriter. She shares original songs and lesson ideas for working with the youngest of learners in the music room.

AOSA podcast

This podcast only has a few episodes, but they’re all centered around the Orff approach. In each of these music education podcasts, you’ll find something new to inspire you.

How to Teach Music with Jessica Grant

One of my favorite parts of Jessica’s podcast is her advice around teaching upper elementary and middle school music. She shares ideas I honestly have never thought of and she’s just so creative.

Music Teacher Coffee Talk with Carrie and Tanya

On this podcast, Carrie and Tanya literally sound like two friends out to lunch (or coffee). They chat about what’s working well or not so well in their classrooms and with their students.

The Score Podcast with Eric and Justin

On The Score, Eric and Justin share their experiences from their time as music students to now being band directors. Their conversations go deep and they’re not afraid of challenging the status quo or talking about issues that others won’t touch.

Becca’s Music Room Podcast with Becca Davis

Becca shares the audio from her YouTube videos. It’s so fun listening to her describe what she does in her classroom each and every week.

#MusicEdLove podcast with Dr. Angela Ammerman

Angela is a breath of fresh air and she is not only a professor, but a great podcaster. You’ll love the conversations she has with her guests.

Mrs. Miracles Music Room podcast with Aileen Miracle

Honestly, Aileen is the queen of the music education blogging community. Her blog is probably one of the first ones out there and there’s so much amazing content to read through.

Chaotic Harmony podcast

The Chaotic Harmony podcast is 4 friends who have conversations about their daily struggles and wins in the classroom. While driving, I’ve found myself nodding along like I’m sitting right there next to them.

Katie presents episodes around bringing technology into your music room. But also, she shares other episodes as well around using technology for organization and personal reasons as well.

This podcast is all about social emotional learning. Each guest shares a different perspective and ways to bring social emotional learning to your students.

Music Ed Mentor podcast with Elisa Jansen Jones

The Music Ed Mentor podcast has been around for a long time now. Elisa is a great interviewer and asks some really thought provoking questions.

This is the podcast by NAMM. It’s awesome to hear the different interviews with various musicians and educators.

F-flat Books MusiCast podcast

You may have known about F-flat books as an eBook company, but did you know they also had an amazing blog? One of my favorite parts about their blog is the fact that different music educators and authors create blog posts for the site.
